With the presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, during the Award’s Winners Honoring ceremony, in its 14th session, on Monday, 14th March, 2022, with the presence of H.E. Mariam Bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mheir, UAE’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment, H.E. Khalid Al Hneifat, Minister of Agriculture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, H.E. Dr. Abu Bakr Omar Al Bachri, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Sudan, H.E. Riad Mohammed Yusuf Atari, Minister of Agriculture of the State of Palestine, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Hassan, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic Syria, H.E. Hamad Abdul Razzaq Al-Marini, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock of the Republic of Libya, H.E. Eng. Louis Lahoud, Representative of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lebanon, H.E Hashim Ben Salem, representative of the Tunisian Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Ahmed Ben Saleh Ayada Al Khamshi, representative of the Minister of Agriculture, Water and Environment, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and H.E. Dr. Abdul Aziz Mohamed Abdul Karim, representative of the Minister of Agriculture of the Kingdom of Bahrain. As well as members of the Award’s Board of Trustees, Award’s winners and honorees, and a large number of specialists in date palm cultivation, and agricultural innovation the “Mansour Masts” operetta, which came to focus on the invaluable efforts of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the first supporter of date palm cultivation and date production, at the national and regional levels, where it represents the ship of goodness and giving that sailed from the UAE to the Arab countries, and back to Abu Dhabi to reciprocate and thank His Highness for the achievements of the Arab dates festivals in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Sudan, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and the Kingdom of Morocco, as it is considered a fundamental pillar of the sustainable development and food security.
From his side, Dr. Abdelouahhab Zaid, Award’s Secretary General, emphasized this by highlighting the fact that this operetta is a message of thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, from the Arab capitals and cities that established strategic partnerships with the Award, through words and melodies, full of sincere feelings, that alternate to form the operetta representing art, performance and aesthetics of composition. Where this operetta highlights the UAE’s achievements in the development of the agricultural sector in general, and the date palm cultivation and production in particular regionally and internationally, under the directives and support of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and continuous follow up of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees.
The Award’s Secretary General, also highlighted the fact that the aim of the opera is the continuation of the dream and message set by the UAE’s wise leadership, within the framework of the Award’s humanitarian vision. The “Mansour Masts” operetta, is visioned and directed by the musician Dr. Muhammad Wasef, which begins with a move between five Arab countries, it goes through the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Sudan, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco, and ends its journey with welcoming the UAE as it is the hosting country.
