“Mansour Masts” operetta in the opening of the Virtual Winners Honoring Ceremony of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, in its 13th session, 2021



The “Mansour Masts” operetta is an artistic vision that reflects love and loyalty to

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed


Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, and with the presence of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Chairman of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation Board of Trustees, the Award’s virtual ceremony was presented on, Tuesday the 16th of March, 2021. The first virtual show of the “Mansour Masts” operetta, in the presence of a number of honorable Ministers and members of the diplomatic corps in the UAE. The “Mansour Masts” operetta came to focus on the invaluable efforts of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the first supporter of date palm cultivation and date production,  at the national and regional levels, where it represents the ship of goodness and giving that  sailed from the UAE to the  Arab countries, and back to Abu Dhabi to reciprocate and thank His Highness for the achievements of the Arab dates festivals in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Sudan, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, and the Kingdom of Morocco, as it is considered a fundamental pillar of the sustainable development and food security.


From his side, Dr. Abdelouahhab Zaid, Award’s Secretary General, emphasized this by highlighting the fact that this operetta is a message of thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, from the Arab capitals and cities that established strategic partnerships with the Award, through words and melodies, full of sincere feelings, that alternate to form the operetta representing art, performance and aesthetics of composition. Where this operetta highlights the UAE’s achievements in the development of the agricultural sector in general, and the date palm cultivation and production in particular regionally and internationally, under the directives and support of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and following the wise words of the Late Father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, "May God Bless His Soul," " They planted, we ate / we sow, and they will eat".




The “Mansour Masts” operetta, is the a visioned and directrd by the musician Dr. Muhammad Wasef, which begins with a move between five Arab countries, it goes through the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Sudan, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and the Kingdom of Morocco, that were part of events held for the date palm tree, and the means of developing its cultivation, mechanisms for that, and sustainable plans. The “Mansour Masts” operetta ends with the welcoming of the UAE as it is the hosting country.
